All fonts presented on this website were designed by ECAL students during their studies.
The site combines typefaces from the 3-year Bachelor Graphic Design program and 2-year Master Art Direction program. Some are Diploma projects, others are semester projects.
The aim of this foundry is to release student typefaces spontaneously and rapidly, in order to represent ECAL in the current type design field.
Although all fonts were revised by the students before becoming part of the ECAL Typefaces project, they should still be considered as student works and some design oddities may be noticed.
This is part of what makes the project exciting: a fresh, new, uninhibited look at type design by the young and talented designers of tomorrow.
All fonts are coded, generated and tested in the same manner as you would expect from any other major type foundry.
The fonts are delivered in OTF Postscript format (.otf).
The webfonts packages contain WOFF (.woff) and WOFF2 (.woff2) formats.
No other formats are available.
The webfonts are delivered in WOFF, WOFF2 formats.
They are optimized for screens using an automated Postscript hinting method.

We do not plan to develop the typefaces any further .
However, if you would like a character set extension or more weights of a typeface, you can contact us.
Weights can’t be purchased separately: all font files come together with the purchased typeface.
The active weight is marked in black.
Available weights are marked red and can be activated by clicking on their label.
