Arkbro is a variable typeface based on strict geometric principles and proportions. It draws inspiration from Ellen Arkbro’s track ‘Mountain of Air’, with the concept of shapes filling out the space, much like the sound and feeling of the track. The variable axis of Arkbro blends characters of different weights at the extremes, creating a combination of very heavy characters next to ultra-thin ones. With its diverse shapes and strong contrast, Arkbro is perfect for playful, animated typesetting and display applications. To overcome the significant height differences between upper- and lowercase letters, Arkbro is equipped with case-sensitive numerals, punctuation, and other symbols.
